TPS43061: Spice simulation issue

Part Number: TPS43061
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS43060

Using Simetrix simulator TPS43061 SPICE Model (models, schematics available via email). But it gives error message (see image below) .

Also, as we are using SIMPLIS simulator for frequency respond analysis, we would like to create our own model of TPS43061 and we need some information which can not be found in Datasheet:

-       Gain of Sense Signal Amplifier:

-       Slope Compensation Signal parameters.

  • Hi Eddie,

Thanks for posting. Could you send me the model and simulation file (schematics) you are using?

For the Simplis model info, I'm checking with people here and will get back to you soon.

    Thanks,
    Yinsong

  • Hi Yinsong,

This is actually my question. I asked Eddie for help when he visited us.  Please see, attached simulation mode and simulation circuit.

    Thanks

    Lev

  • Hi Lev,

The errors are from the opamp. Here is one example of the netlist that causes the trouble.

    E_U7         PWMOK 0 VALUE {LIMIT(V(N34828,N35569)*1E6,0,1)} _U7 N34828 N35569

    +  1G

Please try remove things after the '}', change it to this:

    E_U7         PWMOK 0 VALUE {LIMIT(V(N34828,N35569)*1E6,0,1)}

Do this for every opamps and try run again.

For the parameters you asked for, I'm still looking for it and will get back to you ASAP.

    Thanks,
    Yinsong

  • Hi Lev,

I have got the parameters from the calculation sheet.

    The slope comp is 24mV.

    The sensing gain is 40/3.

You can see these parameters in the calculation sheet Sn and Se calculation in the 'Small Signal' section.

The calculator is also helpful if you want to build your own simulation model. You can find it in the product page 'TPS43060/61 CCM Boost Excel Design Tool'.

    Thanks,

    Yinsong
