What are the differences between the newer BQ28Z610-R1 version and the older BQ28Z610?

Hi Robert,

I don't have the details handy, but I believe you should only use the R1 version for new designs. I believe there used to be a note in the BQ28Z610 product folder indicating this that somehow was removed. We will get this note added back.

I assume the R1 is a 1:1 replacement and will behave exactly as the non-R1 version? Or are there any migration topics a customer would have to consider?

Hi Robert,

The behavior should be exactly the same. After looking into the change history more, the R1 is a silicon update to fix an I2C timeout bug on the BQ28Z610.
