Does UCC21710-Q1 have on-chip thermal shutdown capability? If yes, what is the thermal shut-down temperature?

    Hi Jimmy, 

    If you wish to implement this feature, this has to be implemented in the system design as there is no built-in thermal shutdown/over temperature protection in this series of IC.

    However, UCC21710 can certainly aid designing-in Overtemp protection.

    It features isolated analog sensing w/ PWM output back to the controller. One of the advertised use cases is in fact of this feature is temperature sensing. 

    Please refer to Electrical Characteristics section for Isolated Temp sensing in Section 5.9 of the datasheet
