UCC27712: Gate driver with 100% duty capability

Hi

I want to use the below circuit as a high side driver capable of 100% duty cycle.  

How can I determine the turn ratio of the transformer? the voltage across 1 uF should be 5 or 12 V?

    Thank you for the interest in the UCC27712 and SN6501. The target voltage across the 1uF, which is the HB to HS voltage on the UCC27712 needs to be within the recommended operating range of 10 to 17V. To determine the transformer turns ratio refer to the SN6501 datasheet section 9.2. The datasheet can be found here:

    The voltage on the SN6501 VCC and the target output voltage determine the turns ratio. The winding voltage will be Vs=Vin x n (turns ratio).

    There are off the shelf transformers which may work for your application. Wurth Electronics is one magnetic supplier that has transformers for the SN6501.
