BQ24074: Battery connection works, but adapter does not

I am using BQ24074 to charge the battery and check powergood. The microcontroller boots while 3.7V battery is connected to the power path, but the same does not happen when i connect an adapter of 12V to it.

Hi Snehal,

The recommended operating voltage range fo the BQ24074 is 4.35V to 10.2V. Operation outside this range is not guaranteed.
