PMLKBUCKEVM: Load transient current measurement using current shunt accessory board

I am trying to locate two accessory boards for the Buck and LDO PMLK -- a "TI-PMLK INA139 current shunt sensing board"  and a "TI-PMLK current transformer sensing board". Part numbers are unknown, but both are  described in some detail in this TI Training presentation (pp.20-25)...

Is it possible to purchase either/both of these current measurement accesory boards?

  • Thank you for your contribution, but the plain and simple answer to my question appears to be that TI neither makes nor supports the accessory boards referenced in the TI training materials I referenced. I learned this by separately contacting the author of that material, Prof. Femia, who was good enough to provide a solution. Perhaps TI should consider providing some notice along those lines to its potential PMLK customers?

    If you dont have access to a current probe there are few commercial options available for current sense applications. Third party sellers may have some solutions.

    Shared is simple schematic. It may be a good exercise to understand current sense operation/theory by designing the circuit...just a thought. I did similar things when I was going to school at my university and it was very helpful in my understanding for test measurement operation
