How can i exit from Rom Mode to normal mode?

power cycle does not help

In order to exit ROM mode

Send 0x0F, 0x00 to 0x00

You may need to swap 0x00 and 0x0F in the above depending on endianness.

If you cannot get out of ROM mode, it means the device is bricked. Try to reprogram or swap the IC.

Hello

I didn't find relevant details in SLUA801

I am not sure i explain the issue well. so let me explain.

when i programmed a srec file using BqStudio the programing stop in the middle and i lost communication with BQ34Z100-G1.

by using the Advanced Comm page i saw that i can't read from I2C Address AA but i can read from I2C Address 16.

I assume it's called- ROM mode (is it?)

My Question is: how can i release the BQ34Z100-G1 from that mode ?

Hi Avi,

You should be able to download the srec file even if the gauge device works in the ROM mode.

Try this.

Step 1: Launch the bqStudio

Step 2: Choose bqz file for bq34z100 manually.

Step 3: Go to the Programming tab and try to download the default srec file for bq34z100-g1.
