TPS2001D: Operating voltage of Vin of TPS2001d and TPS2065d

Part Number: TPS2001D

Hi team,

My customer is looking for USB power switch  and they have concerned about the vin voltage range of our TPS2001d.

From the datasheet, it shows the vin range from 4.5v to 5.5v. They would like to know what will happened if the input voltage is lower than 4.5v whether it will influence the system operating.

Because their originally solution can support to 2.7 v as below link.

And, could you kindly provide the certification report and test report of  TPS2001DDBVR and TPS2065DBVR of IEC62368:2014 G.9? Due to competitor can provide it for cusotmer, if we don't provide it.

We don't have the chance to replace it.

If there is NDA concern, please send it to me private by email. Thanks.

  • Hi Ben,

The datasheet indicates that the UVLO of TPS2001 is 4V.

So TI acquires the minimum value of 4.5V as Vin.

Maybe the IC can work below 4.5V, but it's not guaranteed by TI.

For CB files, have sent to you by email.

For TI's policy, I will first click resolved button.

If you have any other concern, contact me any time.

If you think resolved, please help click 'Issue is solved button'.

    Thanks.
