UCC21540: What are the main differences between UCC2152X, UCC2153X and UCC2154X?

Part Number: UCC21540
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC21530

Hi,

We use UCC21520DWR IC in our devices for a long time. And now, due to having almost the same pin configurations we are considering using UCC2153X and UCC2154X families.

Can you explain, the main differences between UCC2152X, UCC2153X and UCC2154X?

Thank you,
Best Regards
Harun

  • Hi Harun,

Thanks very much for your question.

UCC2152x and UCC2153x are same family with difference on EN or DIS pin active High. UCC21530 also have 12V UVLO in a DWK package without pin 12 and pin 13.

UCC2154x is a different family with VDD absmax 20V optimized for 10-12V MOSFET drive. which has cost advantage. There is another slightly difference on DT pin with UCC2152/3x family. DT floats allow outa/outb high at the same time, while UCC2152/3x has 8ns deadtime, although we don't recommend leave DT pin open with noise susceptibility.

    Wish it helps.
