TPS61253A: Does the 4.7 V version of this (TPS61255A) exist?

The datasheet for the TPS61253A, last revised two years ago, refers to other versions of the part which have different fixed output voltages. We are very interested in the 4.7 V output version, TPS61255A, but I don't see it on the TI website. Does it exist, or was it never built?

Sorry right now TPS61255A (fixed 4.7V version) doesn't exist. Could you accept other devices such as TPS61022, TPS61023, TPS61236P that the Vout could be configured to be 4.7V?

Hi Zack,

We already have boards built using the '253A, so we're looking for a drop-in replacement. Given that the '255A doesn't exist, we'll have to figure another workaround.

Hi Scott,

Is the 4.7V DC output voltage a must requirement? How about TPS61258? It's output voltage is 4.5V. It's also pin to pin TPS61255A.

Otherwise, you have to configure another boost converter.

4.5 V is a bit too low for us. We're going to insert a Schottky diode between the '253A and the rest of the circuitry to approximate 4.7 V for now. When we revise the PCB we'll look for a different boost converter.
