TPS562201: Feedback resistor, Peak current and RMS current

Part Number: TPS562201

Hello team,

1. Feedback resistor.

In the datasheet, Vout is determined by 0.768*(1+R1/R2).

Although customer calculate the R1 with R2 = 10kohm, they found the gap between the calculation value of 32.97k ohm and the recommendation value of 33.2k ohm.

Which should customer follow ?

2. Peak current and RMS current

Customer calculated the value of peak current and the RMS current using equation 4, 5, 6 with table1. Design parameters but they found out that there is mismatch between calculation result and the description in the datasheet.

Is it typo ?

Thank you and best regards,

Michiaki

  • Hi Michiaki,

    1. Use the resistor value closer to the calculated value, no big influence.

    2. TPS562201 is a 2-A device which could support 2-A average current output with some margin, that means this device could support a little higher output current than 2-A. This device uses valley inductor current to control the output current, the peak current is determined by the ripple current level not controlled by the device.
