Hi team,

Nice to meet you by email. When I look through datasheet of BQ76952, SCD_DLY can be set to Fastest setting with different overdrive. So my questions are what does "overdrive" refer to and how this "overdrive" effect SCD_DLY? Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Sophia,

This overdrive refers to the voltage across SRN-SRP. If this is only 3mV, the comparator delay is longer (~8us), vs if 25mV the comparator is faster (~600ns).

Hi Matt,

Got it! By the way, if I set SCD_DLY=1, does that mean fastest setting? And under fastest setting, does comparator response time of SCD depend on overdrive value cross SRN-SRP?(higher overdrive, faster the response speed)

Hi Sophia,

Yes, this is correct. Setting SCD Delay to '1' is the fastest setting, SCD Delay of '2' is 15us.

The fastest setting also depends on the voltage across SRN-SRP.
