LMR16006: Safe to apply external voltage to the output with no input voltage?

Part Number: LMR16006

Hi, please could you tell me if it's safe to apply external voltage to the output of the buck converter with no input voltage?

I have added a diode in series with the input to prevent the reverse current flow, as recommended in the following guide: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slyt689/slyt689.pdf. The guide describes the setup with a P-Channel Mosfet on the high side. However, in LMR16006 an N-Channel Mosfet is used on the high side with a bootstrap capacitor.

Context: I am trying to power my device through USB when no battery voltage is available to be able to program the board.
