UCC28251: About current mode control

Part Number: UCC28251

Hi,

I would like to ask you about the UCC28251 device.
Current mode control is described in item 9.1.4 of the data sheet.
Since I really want to look at this circuit, is there any reference design that could help?

Best regards,

  • Ask additional questions about 9.1.4.
It states that OUTA and OUTB are used to charge an external capacitor.
Does the external capacitor show CS in Figure 42?
I understand that when OUTx turns on, the bipolar transistor turns on and a current flows from VREF to CS to charge CS, thereby performing slope compensation.
    Is my idea correct?

    Best regards,

  • Hi  Kaji,

I didn't find a reference design which uses PCM control.

The external capacitors are the charging capacitors at OUTx pin in the figure 42.

Yes, you are right, when OUTx turns on, OUTx charges external capacitors, then the bipolar transistor turns on and a current flows from VREF to CS to charge CS.

    Regards,
    Teng
