if our temperature is 42C, does it mean Qmax can't update all the time and then cell balance will not work all the service life?

Hello Harry,

What is the battery chemistry you plan to use with the gauge? Doing a Qmax update for certain types of battery chemistry outside the range could impact the gauging ability.

we use LiFePO4. i ask this question because in SLUUA04D document (cell balancing chapter), it says a field updated QMax (Update Status = 0E) is required prior to any attempt of Cell Balance Time calculation. however, QMAX update condition has temperature requirement: 10-40C. so does it mean we can use this BQ40Z60?
