Can BQ25890H be used stand-alone for charging
without not connected to USB BUS OR HOST?

I want to use a big charger current.
But I don't have a host device and USB input.

    Hi,

    The device can autonomously completes a charging cycle without host involvement with the device default charging settings. Please check the default settings listed on Register Maps on the d/s and see if the default settings fit your application and batteries being used.

    Hi Rex,

    BQ25890H can't be used as a standalone charger. It can charger with the default setting as shown by Table 4 on Page 22 of the datasheet, but any other setting different than the default setting requires host's write to change the register setting. 

    BQ25616 is a standalone charger. Please check whether it can meet your application requirements.
