TPS2373: Shut down during 42V

Part Number: TPS2373

Dear Team,

This circuit will shut down during 42V running overnight.

Do you have ideas what may cause the circuit shut down?

  • Hi Kevin,

    Thank you for your question.

The PoE applications engineering team is currently out of the office celebrating the U.S. holiday of Independence Day.

A response will be provided by end of day Monday, July 6th.

    Best Regards,

  • Hey Kevin,

What power level is the load providing nominally?

    Can you provide a schematic?

Can you tell me more about the situation? Does the customer come in the morning and their device is no longer connected? Are they monitoring the device and seeing it be dropped? How many times a night does it drop?

Does the output drop or does the whole system shutdown?
What does it take to reset?

I will need more information to confirm, but the first thing that come to mind are thermal overheat somewhere.

If this post answers your question, please indicate so by marking this thread as resolved. Thank you.
