TPS7A8300: the definition of VIL(EN) and VIH(EN)

Part Number: TPS7A8300

Hi team

Could you tell the definition of VIL(EN) and VIH(EN)?

I mean, I want to make sure whether the device monitors the rising edge and falling edge. In case of rising edge, this device is enabled when the voltage is more than 1.1V.  Then, in case of falling edge, this device keeps to be enabled when the voltage is more than 0.5V and the device is disabled when the voltage is less than 0.5V.

Or  VIL(EN) and VIH(EN) are just voltage threshold.

Customer wants to understand which definition is correct.

Noriyuki Takahashi

  • Hi Noriyuki,

These are voltage thresholds.  You can think of the circuits like comparators with hysteresis.  So greater than 1.1V is going to enable the linear regulator, and less than 0.5V is going to disable the linear regulator.

    Thanks,
