LP8860-Q1: Current setting and pre-MOS questions

Part Number: LP8860-Q1

1. The hardware configuration is as follows:
The maximum LED current is set by the resistor on the external ISET pin. The external I2C interface is used to control the brightness, and PWM and current mixed dimming is enabled. The register configuration is as follows:

The actual measurement found that the maximum current is the same as the preset value, but when adjusting the brightness, it is found that the brightness of the current register (0x02, 0x03) has not changed, and the brightness register (0x00, 0x01) can change the brightness. I don’t know the brightness register DISP_CL1_BRT[15:0 ] And the current register DISP_CL1_CURRENT[11:0]
What is the relationship, according to the following formula, through DISP_CL1_CURRENT[11:0] should be able to change the brightness?

2. Is there any bad effect if the LP8860 pre-MOS tube is not used?
