Hello,
are there any special guidelines or concerns regarding the washablility (assembled PCB cleaning process) of the TI power modules (or other TI semiconductor parts coming into mind)?

Hi,
For open frame modules such as the TPS82130, we recommend to use "no clean" solder paste. Fully encapsulated (molded) modules can use water soluble solder paste.

Hello,
We definately need to perform a washing/cleaning process regardless of the solder paste used.
So the question is still up: are these power modules washable?
Regards,
Hi
The TPS82130 module can be washed with Deionized water after reflow.
Usually at the end of the inline cleaner there is a dry zone to remove moisture. If the washing system that you use doesn't have a drying zone, then units must be baked to remove moisture.
This question of washability is applicable for TPS82130. If you have other modules in question, please let us know and we will get you an answer as it is very much module package dependent.

Gerold
