[FAQ] TPS61099: How can I get the TINA model

Part Number: TPS61099

Hi Team:

Recently I'm studying TPS61099 for my project. I prefer the TINA model to help me do some simulation. But I can't find it. May you share it with me?

It's better if you can guide me the way to get the model from TI.com, as I may need other devices.

  • Hi

There are several ways to get the TINA model or using TINA to do the simulation. All these solutions are available for TPS61099, and lots of other boost, buck-boost products.

    1. Export from WeBench.

The most recommend way is export the model from WeBench. It will generate a circuit including our ICs and  the external components like inductance and caps. In this way, you can run the circuit directly after download.

The WeBench design can be find in product page or Webench design center. And then just follow the guidance below.

    2. Import Spice model into TINA.

We have spice model for most of Boost converter device. You can find them in the product page--Design and Development --Design Tools and simulation. For example, TPS61099:https://www.ti.com/product/TPS61099#design-development##design-tools-simulation

After get the spice model, you can import it into TINA following below training: https://training.ti.com/importing-spice-models-tina-titm-simulator?context=1127691-960091 With this solution, you need to add the external components like inductance, capacitors. It's recommend to follow the guidance in datasheet.

If the upper solutions don't work, just feel free to make a new post in E2E with product number. We will contact you if the model is available.
