Hello E2E,
1-- If inserted 100-ohm resistor on GATE node, can it cause disability for operation?
2-- When light load or no load, CATHODE voltage has ripple waves. How much the TI recommend Cout?

Hello ACGUY,
100ohm gate resistor will add to gate resistance during turn off and turn speed will be impacted.
Recommend to use 10ohm or 20ohm in series to gate of the IC and gate of MOSFET.
Regarding, light load oscillation, let me get back later tomorrow. This would require to understand the MOSFET used, can you share the MOSFET part number as welll?
Regards,
Kari.
Hello,
Let me check the MOSFET and get back to you early next week.
Meanwhile, can you share at what light load you are seeing this oscillations.

Kari.
Hello,
To minimize the cathode ripple for the MOSFET BSC030N08NS5(Infineon), electrolytic capacitor of 47uF (high ESR is preferred) is recommended.
Additionally, adding a 50kohm or 100kohm from cathode to GND would reduce the cathode ripple further.
