Hi expert,

TPS4H160-Q1 has an EMI issue. Could you comment on that and give us an advice? Thanks

Here are the action customer did：

total board IR test is Fail;
check the load of TPS4H160-Q1, the output current is fixed, output current is 1A;
Isolate TPS4H160-Q1(No power supply), IR test passed.

Here are the IR test result for TPS4H160-Q1：

Use spectrum analyzer to test, the output current is fixed (1A). The middle one is the result for IR:

Hello Songzhen,

Could you please share the schematic around the TPS4H160? What capacitors are being used from Vs to IC_GND, Vs to GND and Vout to GND? Are any ferrite beads being used?

Hello Songzhen,

I would recommend that you use by-pass capacitors from Vs to IC_GND. The most important capacitor to add is Vs to IC_GND 100 nF, 50V, 0603 X7R. Though for better noise reduction you could also add capacitors from Vout to IC_GND & PCBGND, and Vs to PCBGND. Placing a 10 nF capacitor in parallel with the 100 nF capacitor from Vs to IC_GND will also help. The closer these capacitors are to the pin of the device the better.
