TPS565201: Audio noise caused inductor under light load condition for TPS565201 application

Are there any places that  can be optimized for this inductor audio noise issue in this design? Do you mean that we can do nothing but change to TPS56208 for this issue solvement?

Hi Jiayu,

TPS565208 and TPS565201 are Pin2Pin and wouldn't change anything if directly replace the IC.

If customer want to optimize based on current design, they need to choose a larger inductor, the value depends on customer need to avoid at audio noise on how light load.

If customer don't care about light load efficiency, I recommend to replace TPS565208 directly.

Thanks for your reply. But the inductance that customer chose is already up to the Maxium value-4.7uH. According to the datasheet, a larger inductance will affect the loop stability. So can they replace with 10uF inductor if they insist using TPS565201?

10uH inductance will let device have loop issue, and are not large enough to resolve customer's audio noise, depends on customer's load. You can give me a call to discuss the details offline. I will recommend to use TPS565208 to resovle the Eco-mode noise issue.

Thanks a lot, as we talked on the phone, I will check the minimum load  current need, and then to check if we can use a larger inductance to replace, keeping the load stable.
