LM5050-1: Question on Temperature Curve for Vsd(rev) and Vsd(reg)

Part Number: LM5050-1

Hi Team,

On datasheet for the LM5050, it doesn't give the temperature curve for Vsd(rev) and Vsd(reg) and my customer is trying to confirm the trend. Could you check is my following assumption is correct, and if not provide some insight into how Vsd changes over temperature:

- At Tj = -40C, Vsd(rev) = -16mv, Vsd(reg) = 4.4mv

- At Tj = 125C, Vsd(rev) = -41mv, Vsd(reg) = 37mv

Thanks,
Mitchell

  • Hello Mitchell,

Forward regulation threshold Vsd(reg), the curve is flat from 25C to -40C and from 25C to 125C, the threshold has increasing profile (high threshold at higher temperature). The 25C mean value is 22.8mV, -40c is 23.1mV, and 150C is 32.1mV at VIN 12V.

    Mean Variation across Temp:

    25C 22.789
    150C 32.097
    -40C 23.113

Reverse turn off threshold Vsd(rev) mean variation across:

    25C -27.584
    150C -26.092
    -40C -28.934

    Regards,

    Kari.
