LP8860-Q1: Power-Line FET control : PSPICE equivalent model

Dear TI support team

I'm looking for a PSPICE model of the Power-line FET control part of the LP8860.

I tried the LP8861, but it seems to have different behavior. Moreover, I cannot adjust the driving current.

What I intend to simulate is the power-on sequence, to check the inrush current drawn from battery. I want to see if I need an additionnal capacitor across the MOSFET, if the power dissipation is OK, etc...

I don't care about the boost start-up that comes later in the sequence - as I understand from figure 57 of datasheet.

I assume that just using a simple DC current source don't do the job ^_^.

We suggest that you can test it in our EVM if you have any doubts about it.

Dear Mr Chen

We actually already have available several boards with the LP8860.

But in an attempt to create a WCCA, I was hoping for a model - even of simplified - that could help to know if we have enough margin or if component downsizing is possible. For example, we currently have a capacitor across the gate-source signal, which could be removed.

Hi Sir,

Sorry, we don't have an model for it and also don't have a plan to develop it. I suggest to test by practice since model is unavailable.
