Can you provide the Default Password for BQ2085DBT?
Also how do we find the datasheet with all available commands and decode routines?

Hello Catherine,
The default password should be the same for all the gauges, you can find them here: https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management/f/196/t/759462
Can you explain which commands you are decoding? Are you trying to send commands to the gauge?
Sincerely,
Wyatt Keller
Hello Wyatt,
Thank you very much for your help. This already helps a lot. We will try something and I might come back with some more question again later but it already helps for now.
Thank you very much for your Support it is much appreciated.

Catherine
Hello Catherine,
No problem, I hope your problem is resolved!
Sincerely,

Dear Wyatt,
we sent the default password to the BQ2085 and recorded the data transfer.
here we sent 0x1404 and 0x7236 (little endian) to the address 0x00 and the BQ2085 is confirming the write error.
But the SS-BIT (seal state) stays set in the status register. this means the chip is still sealed.
The SS Bit is 2 in 0x21.
So looks like the default password was changed by manufacturer. Is this the correct approach.
Under this link https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management/f/196/t/759462 there is a technical reference manual pdf. referring to the BQ35100. Is there a technical manual available also for the BQ2085? We couldn't find this.
Thank you for all your support.
Kind regards

Hello,
The bq2085 has the DS which should have some information similar to the TRM. The TRMs are for newer devices.
