UCC23513: average input current restriction

Part Number: UCC23513

Hi,

my customer has make their product with UCC23513, and the input current is 27mA.

Since some of the product has already go to the market, so they have to evaluate the risk.

1. Do we have any statistic to show the damage possibility of UCC23513 versus the input current?

2. Why do we have restriction on the input current, since our diode is emulated diode, is it the same reason that over restriction current will cause overheat and finally damage the device? Or some other reason?
