LM5109B-Q1: LM5109B-Q1 as a high side gate driver

The customer is looking to use LM5109B-Q1 as a high side gate driver. Please confirm if the Low side driver can be left as Do Not Connect or Grounded? Will this have any effect on the charge pump, affecting the High Side Driver? Also, the MOSFET is on a 48V bus and needs to be turned on <10ms, please confirm that the device can manage this timing requirement.

    Hello Taru,

    The LM5109B-Q1 can be used as a high side driver only, if you ground the LI input and leave LO floating. Can you clarify what you mean regarding effect of the charge pump, affecting the high side driver? Can you provide a schematic of the charge pump you are referring?

    The high side driver can support the timing you mention, but the high side bias (HB-HS) needs to be maintained above the UVLO threshold. Is the charge pump mentioned used to provide the HB to HS high side bias?
