Could u please make some comments on what are the advantages of linear charger and switching charger separately. And then we can have some standard to choose which charger for our project?

The reason people typically choose linear chargers over switching is below. Also look at linked blog post
1) Linear chargers are smaller solution size since no inductor is needed
2) Linear chargers dont have switching noise so ideal for applications sensitive to interference
3) LInear chargers are typically lower cost
