TPS1H200A-Q1: How OUT PIN follow the IN pin?

Hi team,

In the datasheet of TPS1H200A show the internal block diagram as below, but I am wondering how the OUT pin follow the IN pin with the internal MOSFET's source side connected to OUT pin.

How to achieve the same direction of OUT and IN?

Hi James,

Once the channel on the FET is formed, current can flow from drain to source (VS to OUT) or from source to drain (OUT to VS which is a reverse current case), As long as the design of the device is according to the datasheet, the OUT pin will follow the IN pin with the following switching characteristics.

I am still wondering how the N-FET work inside the IC, since the block diagram is just a simplified diagram.

Could you help to provide more details about this ?

Hi James,

The IN pin controls the GATE of the FET as a gate driver and the OUT is the SOURCE of the FET. When the IN pin enables the FET, the OUT becomes connected to VS (the supply voltage) which is located at the FET's drain.
