LM5116: Start-Up LO and HO Gate pulse

Part Number: LM5116

Hi Sir,

During Soft-start (Turn-On with EN pin of LM5116). Initially IC will give the High side gate pulse and low side gate pulse will be in diode emulation mode, then Low side gate pulses will come(for output capacitor charging duration) and it will go back to diode emulation since there is no load connected.

the dead-time during the turn-On is shown below:

Scale is 100nS/div and Yellow is High Side gate pulse and Green is Low Side Gate Pulse (Sync).

Can this dead-time lead to failures of High side MOSFET during turn-On? will increasing the soft-start help in improving these conditions.

Thanks,

Nesh
