BQ24070: The charging current is not the same as expected

Part Number: BQ24070

Hi team,

Could you help me with the issue related to BQ24070?

The details are as follows:

Issue:

Even though the charging current is set to be 1.4A, the actual value is around 1.2A.

Details:

Battery voltage is larger than V(lowv) (It is not Pre-conditioning)

Battery voltage is V(BAT-REG) (It is not constant voltage charging)

MODE is set to High, around 4.4V

ISET2 is set to High, around 4.4V

IN pin is powered by 4.4V

There is no output current restriction by the power supply

OUT pin is around 4.3V and V(DPPM-REG)=3.45V, so DPPM is not limiting current

Other concerns:

Datasheet states that Vcc MIN as 4.35V, but the Figure from the oscilloscope shows AC voltage higher than 5V.

Does it mean that when the charging current is larger, input voltage need to be higher as well, for example higher than 4.35V?
