TPS546D24: default values in NVM

Part Number: TPS546D24

Hi there,

My customer have been using TPS546D24 for one year. Some registers support NVM, which can store data as reset value. My customer would like to know the initial values of a virgin unit. Are they all 0b?

Thanks.

No, the initial values stored in NVM are not 00h or 0000h.  Some of the registers are initially stored at 00h or 0000h, but most have non-zero initial values.

The default values for all PMBus commands, whether they have NVM support or not, are provided in the Supported Commands - Table 5, section 7.5.1 starting on page 31 of the datasheet.

Because the default value for PIN_DETECT_OVERRIDE is 1F2Fh, which selects pin programming for all pin programmable values and all pin programmable values include NVM support, some of the NVM defaults may be overridden on first power-up.

If you need a full copy of the datasheet, you will need to login to your TI.com account and request access to the TPS546D24 "MySecure Software" folder by clicking the "request now" link on the TPS546D24 product folder.

For future project, I would recommend your customer consider the TPS546D24A.
