LP2980-N: Output voltage temperature coefficient

Part Number: LP2980-N

Hello,

I'm using the LP2980AIM5-2.5/NOPB.

The current consumption is less than 1mA. Can you tell me the output voltage temperature coefficient please?

Thank you

Best regards

Thibault

  • Hi Thibault,

The temperature coefficient is described as the output accuracy across temperatures as shown in the PDS table. But as you notice, the limit only applies to load current higher than 1mA. I would expect the accuracy range is also within the limit for 1mA or less but at the release of the device, LP2980 had been tested and validated at higher than 1mA of the load current. If accuracy is critical to your application, please consider having additional resistance load at the output to increase the load current to at least 1mA.

  • Hi Jason,

I understand that you don't have the information of the outuput voltage temperature coefficient for currents of 1mA.

I thus have to consider with the LP2980AI a +-2.5% accuracy.

    Best regards,

    Thibault

  • Hi Thibault ,

This is a follow-up, do you have any concern to add additional pull-down on the output to make the load current higher than 1mA?
