Hi team,

Could you advise if my design operate at PFM mode or not.

Vin=1.8V to 3.3V

Vout=4.5V

Iout = 150mA to 800mA

I could not find how to calculate the PFM threshold, so if it is possible to calculate or simulate, please let me know.

I would like to avoid it to move to audible band.

Hi Shinji,

When Vin =3.3V, Vout = 4.5V, Iout is less than 400mA, it would enter into PFM.

You can use Pspice for TI to simulate or use TPS61023 calculation tool to see when the devices is not working at CCM.

Hi Zack,

Does Pspice for TI model support PFM simulation?

I run steady state model and changed the output load to 30ohm, but the simulation failed.

Could you check if the model works OK?

Below is the simulation waveform that I ran just now. The Rload is set to 30ohm. The Pspice project file is downloaded from ti.com. Please use steady-state page for simulation.
