Hi Pan-M,

Thank you for posting.  The design that you referred to just supports up to 2.5A rated current. This rating is for the entire VIN range and for sure the output current can be higher than 2.5V if you raise the input voltage.  The output regulation is basically the feedback and it is not much affected by the input voltage as long as the SW peak current limit is not tripped.  Therefore, you can basically see regulation at 3A to be almost the same level as at 2.5A.
