LM5060-Q1: Regarding disable of overcurrent protection

For lm5060-Q1, regarding timing capacitor i am having following question:

If suppose, start up fault delay time is 23msec

                       Transition fault delay time is 10msec

                        Overcurrent fault delay time is 12msec

Then, what is the total time taken for switching the mosfet off and making it in the latch off mode? Is it the 12mseconds?

Also if overcurrent protection happens in 12mseconds then the start up delay time and transition delay time will be less than 12mseconds ?

Or is it overcurrent protection time will be sum of all delay timers i.e. 23msec+10msec+12msec = 45msec?

Hi Harish,

If there is leakage at the GATE, it time to turn-off the MOSFET would be 23ms. If overcurrent fault happens just immediately after GATE across 5V, then the time interval is 10ms.

If overcurrent fault happens in steady state, the fault delay time is 12msec.

I am having a scenario where i also have to measure the full scale current into the mosfet and have to give feedback to the ADC of the microcontroller. I am using lm5060-Q1 for overcurrent protection, but is it also possible to measure full scale current with lm5060 driver IC ? If yes, then please let me know how to do it

Hi Harish,

LM5060 cannot provide analog current information. 

Can you share your requirements (voltage, current, end product) ? Do you need Q100 (automotive qualified) device ?
