We are using BQ27Z561-R2 that we are using EV2400 to programming the FW but we cannot meet the SHA-256 authentication.

Do you know the default SHA-256 key of BQ27Z561-R2?

Please kindly provide the recommendations for us.

Hello Statham,

There is no default key, so the customer would need to program a key before using authentication.

There has no guide teaching how to do.

Shirish, how does the 128-bit key specified in 13.8.20 translate to the 256-bit key required by this fuel gauge? With the device in full access:

Write 37 00 to 3E

Read from 3E: 00 00 + ... + checksum + 24

Write 37 00 00 11 22 33 44 55 66 77 88 99 AA BB CC DD EE FF to 3E

Write D0 14 to 60

Write 37 00 to 3E

Read from 3E: 00 00 00 11 22 33 44 55 66 77 88 99 AA BB CC DD EE FF + ??? + checksum + 24

Since the read from 0x0037 reflected my input, I'm guessing I reprogrammed the key? But, I still can't authenticate the gauge.

I have been checking on key programming and believe that the TRM has an error. I have requested information. I will let you know when the updated TRM information is available.
