TPS55288: buck boost converter recommended

Part Number: TPS55288

Hi All,

Is there a buck-boost converter that can meet follow requirements:

  1. Input voltage form 4V to 12V
  2. Good dynamic output feature ,because input voltage will drop from 9V to 4V,
  3. Constant output current is about 4A.
  4. The required peripheral inductor height is less than 1.2mm

Is TPS55288 that best meet these requirements? Or is there any other product fits these well?

    requirements has changed.

    Is there a buck-boost converter that can meet follow requirements:

    1. Input voltage form 4V to  around 30V
    2. Good dynamic output feature ,because input voltage will drop to 4V,
    3. Output voltage 4.2V
    4. Constant output current is about 8A.
    5. The required peripheral inductor height is less than 1.2mm

    Is there any other product fits these well?

    Hi Allen，

    Thank you for the post.

    8A is big current. What is the maximum output current at Vin=4V, is it still 8A? If it is, I'm afraid no 1.2mm inductor can meet such requirement. You need to use at least 2-3mm height inductor.

    For the TPS55288, it is OK for the input and output range.
