How much load current is required for the LM27761 to switch from PFM to PWM mode? 

What does the frequency profile look like while in PFM mode (over the applicable output current range)?

    Hi Corwin,

    Unfortunately, LM27761 datasheet does not have the switching frequency vs current plot. So the exact threshold for 2MHz cannot be confirmed. It is a pretty old device and we do not have any characterization data for this device.

    From Figure 1 in the datasheet (page 6), we could say the transition point is typically around 60mA but the variation can be plus/minus at least about 50% and cannot be specified with any accuracy. By changing the output capacitance the switching frequency changes, but again we cannot rely on an accurate transition point as the device is not designed/tested to provide an accurate PFM transition point.
