LM4040: Leadforming of P/N: LM4040D20ILPR... Straight Leads still available?

Part Number: LM4040

**** SO# 550278 *****

Hello,

The LM4040D20ILP is available in a TO-92 package either with straight leads, or with formed leads..

Both use the drawing "LP" in the datasheet, showing both lead forming types.

Per datasheet straight leads are only available with bulk packaging.. So this would be P/N: LM4040D20ILP , but  this P/N seems to be obsolete..

So the customer ordered P/N: LM4040D20ILPR, which comes on reel..

Actually the customer should have received parts with formed leads according to the datasheet, but he still received the preferred parts with straight leads..

Can you possibly advise, if this was possibly an error by our warehouse and we possibly shipped old remaining stock, or will these parts with straight leads still be available?

Is there a way to differentiate both leadformings in regards to an order, to be sure the customer can get the parts with straight leads?

Can you advise?

Thank you very much.

Best regards

Adnan
