HI All,

This is Saiful, my question as below. 

Is the item LP5907SNX could survive during washing and conformal coating processes? 

Currently we are using above component in one of our product and that product was plan to be conformal coating.

And there is washing process required prior to conformal coating processes. So, i just want to confirm if there any performance/functional degrade after washing/coating processes. 

Looking forward to see any feedback from you guys.

    Hey Saiful,

    Many customers conformal coat TI LDOs and I haven't heard of any issues with LP5907SNX regarding washing and conformal coating. I reached out to our Quality team to see if they had any feedback on this and here is the response

    "Unless otherwise stated in the datasheet, we do not provide a recommendation on conformal coatings or washings as there are so many conditions, materials and ways to apply in the market that is not under TI control.  These are all certainly at the customer’s option and many customers do coat and/or wash.

     The onus is on the customer to determine and validate any conformal coatings, underfills, potting materials, wash chemistries and/or environmental conditions individually or in any combination thereof which may have a detrimental impact on the device."

    So feel free to use this process but make sure you verify that the ICs are working according to your application's needs.

    Hey Kyle, 

    Thanks for your respond. We decide to experiment it by our self since no solid answer on it. 

    It might low risk but we need to prove it.
