BQ25883: when terminated , plug out then plug in adaptor connector ,power path function disabled

Dears:

customer found when charger is terminated , adaptor can provide current to system, but when plug out adaptor connector then plug in , adaptor current will change to zero, and BAT will provide current to system, Could you please help check what happened and how to solve this problem ? Thanks .

Is the device entering HiZ mode when the current goes to zero?

when the adaptor current goes to zero, BQ25883 isn't in HiZ mode. If battery is in OVP , will SYS shut down to cause this problem?

Haiwen,

The load upon converter start up (the converter starts up again when the adapter is connected) may be to strong. Are you seeing similar behavior if you disable the system load during adapter plug in and then apply the system load?

I found the issue may caused by BAT OVP. Could you please help confirm if BAT is OVP, SYS will shut down or continual provide power to system ? Thanks .

Haiwen,

I confirmed this behavior on the bench today. In BATOVP the Battery will provide power to SYS regardless of the presence of the adapter.
