We have developed a custom board using BQ25713 for our 4s Battery configuration. Few days ago before testing our custom board we did some experiments on EVM and we found good results. When we needed to run same register configuration on our board, we found out that Mosfet RQ3E100BNTB which is driven by HIDRV1 got damaged. So we decided verify our design and we found no issues from design point because it almost same as EVM design.
After posting it on TI forum we didn't receive any actionable suggestions. So, today we decided to replace FET and experiment. This time FET didn't damage. But when we wrote configuration to the BQ25713, got acknowledgement and when we read it back got exactly as same as what we configured. But, signals at HIDRV1 and LODRV1 are LOW. When only the battery is connected it is connected to Vsys as expected through the PMOS.
We couldn't figure it out the lack of charging issue. So, what we are thinking is to replace BQ25713 with new one and test. If you have any suggestions would help us.
