UCD90120A: Wrong UCD internal temperature value

Part Number: UCD90120A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD90120

Hi,

I have an issue related to the UCD internal temperature sensor This issue is almost equal to the one addressed in the link below:

https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management/f/196/t/514452?UCD90120A-internal-temperature-sensor-accuracy

Testing our boards with stable ambient temperature, the UCD internal temperature measured is lower than the actual ambient temperature. While other temperature sensors implemented in our boards are measuring correctly temperature of target components, it seems that UCD internal temperature is showing an offset between 10 and 15 degrees C.

This issue is present in all our boards that are implementing such device.

I checked the correctness of all power supply connections to UCD device and rail voltages measured by UCD itself.

How can I solve this issue? Any advice or feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Lorenzo G. Toscano
