BQ76942EVM: Does the EVM tool support the overvoltage calibration mentioned in 7.3.3.11 in the datasheet?

Part Number: BQ76942EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ76942,

Hi team,

Does the EVM support this overvoltage calibration feature? For example if I wanted to do 10mV instead of 50mV calibration and test it with the EVM is that possible?

Thanks!
lauren

  • hi Lauren,
Please note that while the BQ76942EVM is ACTIVE, BQ76942 itself is not ACTIVE for the moment and the BQ76942 datasheet is not the production one.

I had a look at the (internal) draft of the BQ76942 datasheet and the Voltage Calibration (COV and CUV Protections) section you're referring to is unchanged vs. the one in the current datasheet. so, yes, the BQ76942EVM supports the Voltage Calibration (COV and CUV Protections).

  • Hi David,

I'm not sure what you mean, the section I referred to is available on the datasheet that is public on TI.com. I tried logging out of my TI account and navigating to the part and viewing the datasheet again as an anonymous user, and still had access to the same information. The datasheet that's available on TI.com says "Advance Information" on it, but nothing about NDA Required or anything like that.

Thank you for answering my question!

    Thanks,

    Lauren

  • Lauren,
I just said that the datasheet on ti.com is NOT the final one as BQ76942 is not ACTIVE yet.
But that the content wrt to Voltage Calibration (COV and CUV Protections) is correct.
