LM76003: Severe fever on customer board

Hi team,

Customer is using our LM76003 in their latest design and found severe fever happen when power on. could you give us some suggestion and guideline on how to fince root cause:

    Hi Zhanpeng,

    There is no big enough ground plane under LM76003 on same layer for heat spreading, 

    Pls check if below changes can improve the thermal issue.

    • The inductor should be 15uH 5A, 4.7uH is too small for this conversion.
    • input ceramic cap should be 100V rating,
