LM5170: is it suit for replace LT8714

HI Sir

I old design is use the LT8714, need the source/sink function,

end application is to driver VCM

does the LM5170 to do the same function?

or any suggest?

Thank you for reaching out. The LM5170 can operate in bidirectional, to deliver the power from one terminal to the other terminal. Does this meet your source-sink function? If you have further question, please feel free to ask.

We would like to design a dc power supply,which vin 48v,vout 0.5v~6v for FPGA Power board, 10 power line

Hi Chen,

Yes, the LM5170 can support this. You may order an EVM and modify the output from the fixed 14.5V to your adjustable 0.5-6V, and do a quick evaluation.
