Alternate part number to TPS6594-Q1

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS6594-Q1, TPS650861

Hello Team,

We are working on new SoC development and we are looking for suitable PMIC for the same.

We considered TPS6594-Q1 but supported buck in the PMIC is less. Is there any PMIC with higher power capability in this series ?

Could you please help us with new PMIC which can support up to 6 Bucks along with 4-LDO's.

Regards

Ravikumar. S

  • Hi, Ravikumar,

Is your new SoC development for automotive? would you please give us more details about the 6 Bucks along with 4-LDO's? Like VIN range; every rails' max load current; every output voltage range, etc.

  • Hi Phil Yi,

This is SoC is for Industrial grade application.

Vin Range : 4V -17V [ We have 12V adapter chosen for our application ]

Below is the SoC voltage and current requirement and we are looking for dedicated PMIC solution for the same.

Additional Features Required : RTC, Dynamic Voltage Scaling option for individual rail, I2C, and GPIO option.

Please share suitable solution for the same.

    Analog/Digital Supply Voltage rail
    in V
    Current
    in mA
    VDD_Core 0.8 12950
    VDDD_Core 0.9 2481
    VDDA_CORE 1.00 257
    DDR Supply 1.2 727
    I/O and USB 1.8 1099
    Analog - PLL/ADC/DAC 1.8 879
      3.3 27

  • Hi, Ravikumar,

Can you let's know the part number of the SoC which can help us to locate the best fit PMIC? Another question is: do you accept a 3.3V pre-regulator?

  • Hi Phil,

    Thanks for your quick response.

The SoC is currently under development and with out customer we are developing Evaluation Board Platform to Validate and Qualify SoC.

SoC under development is single chip solution supporting 4G/5G wireless base station application.

On accepting 3.3V regulator, do mean to say, if the PMIC input is 3.3V ?

With 3.3V supply input, if PMIC can cater to our requirement, we are open for this option as well.

  • Hi Ravikumar,

One potential option here is TPS650861. This device is fully user programmable for different output voltages and sequencing needs and is capable of supplying those current levels. Let me know if you have any questions about this device.

    Best regards,
